Pawlicies

As a one-on-one grooming salon, we maintain policies to uphold our strict scheduling. By utilizing our services, you agree to adhere to these policies. If you have any questions, please see a member of our staff. 

Grooming time and process

Grooming times vary by dog. Baths typically take 1-2 hours per dog, Grooms typically take 2-3 hours per dog. We work on each dog straight through and will contact you when they’re ready. Please wait for our call before arriving - early arrivals may excite your dog and delay or prevent us from finishing the groom. Calling to check in will also slow and delay the process. Please walk your dog prior to drop-off. Rewash fees may apply if your pet has an accident during grooming that would require an extra bath.

Pick - Up / Drop - Off

 Arriving late to your appointment affects not only your pet’s scheduled time but also sets back the appointments that follow, impacting our entire day. Dogs arriving 15+ minutes late will incur a $15 late fee. Arrivals 20+ minutes late will be rescheduled and charged a 50% rebooking fee (based on the grooming cost).


Due to our small, cage-free setting, we cannot hold onto dogs after completion. We’ll notify you 15 minutes before your dog is ready. Please pick up within one hour of this call. Late pickups will incur a $15 daycare fee per 15 minutes past the grace period. We are happy to give you additional notice, if requested. 

Cancellations / Rescheduling

As a one-on-one salon, we reserve dedicated time exclusively for each dog. Late cancellations or reschedules significantly disrupt our schedule. We request 24 hours notice per dog to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations or reschedules made within this window will incur a 50% fee per dog (based on grooming cost). No-shows will be charged 100% of the appointment cost. Please note, fees will still apply, even if we are able to fill the appointment slot.

Pricing

All quotes given before appointments are starting estimates. Final pricing depends on factors like size, breed, temperament, coat type, and condition, which can vary over time and between visits.

Matting / Temperament

We always do our best to safely groom every dog. Matting or challenging temperament may require extra time, care, or special handling - additional fees will apply if needed. Any known behavioral issues must be disclosed prior to your appointment to ensure proper preparation and handling. If a dog’s behavior prevents us from completing the service, charges will still apply for the time and effort provided. In the case of moderate to severe matting, we may need to shave your pet to safely remove the matting. In this case, we will contact you prior to shaving your pet. Please note that de-matting can often be painful for your pet, and we will only de-mat in minor cases of matting. We do reserve the right to deny service at any time.

Vaccinations/medical conditions

We require proof of an updated rabies vaccine on file for all dogs in our care. If you have a puppy, all three rounds of puppy shots must be completed prior to their first appointment.


For the safety and well-being of your pet, all pre-existing medical conditions must be disclosed prior to your grooming appointment. This includes any known health concerns, whether major or minor, such as skin sensitivities, allergies, heart conditions, seizures, or mobility issues.


Failure to disclose relevant medical information may increase the risk of complications during grooming. By utilizing our services, you acknowledge and agree that Pinky's Dog Grooming is not liable for any injury, reaction, or health issue that may arise as a result of a pre-existing medical condition, whether disclosed or undisclosed.
